A lesson which introduces British values through a starter task about rioting in London, defining the values and completing activities to ensure understanding. As well as the lesson PP there are 3 student activities for students: 1. Identify if the phrases explain British values and give reasons why 2. Write down where you see the British values being used 3. Cut out two leaves and write down values you have observed in school or the wider community and / or values you would like to see in schools and the wider community. When I did this lesson I precut leaves for students. 4. Stick values on to a copy of the British values tree which I had put on the wall in my classroom so the tree transforms from a winter to summer tree!

A set of 42 flashcards based on all the key content on the spec - giving pupils the key information they need to revise. Knowledge based only they contain the key content from the spec in easy to learn bullet points. There are 22 pages in the resource and each page has two flashcards - I had them photocopied onto card, cut into two, hole punched in the corner and then put a treasury tag in to make a set of flashcards. Every flashcard deals with key content and the resources covers the whole spec for Elizabeth I. I have also included the blank proformas for the flashcards useful for a revision activity for pupils to make their own before giving them the completed ones!

I originally made this as a guide for new students who came into the school part way through the course. Now all students complete it when we are doing the USA topic. It is 83 pages long, includes tasks, exam practice, second order concept skills practice and key word opportunities. It covers the entire USA topic and has tasks related to every section like comprehension exercises, filling in a table, case studies, diamond 9 and designing an advert for a Jazz speakeasy. Every exam question on the paper is planned and practiced with mark schemes and room for student improvements. It can be used hand in hand with the free book resource from Eduqas on their website. There are three files: (1) sources relating to the USA 1910-1929 (2) Interpretations to the USA 1910-1929 (3) Knowledge check (1 & 2) Designed to be used as part of intervention sessions with GCSE History students but can also be good revision. Each file gives examples of all the source / interpretation questions on the exam paper and includes a table with each source / interpretation to help students plan how to answer the questions.
