Do your students know the key terms to each topic on their course? Can they explain what each key term means and how to use it accurately and appropriately? Here’s a set of 40 key terms on the cardiovascular system (PowerPoint and PDF) to aid teaching and learning. Either project them on your whiteboard for whole class activities, or print them and laminate them for use in a variety of different ways in small group, pair work and individual activities. GCSE PE: Cardiovascular System - Full Marks!

Without doubt my most effective resource for helping students tackle exam questions effectively! Full Marks! focuses on making students consider really carefully the number of marks available for each question and thinking hard in order to find the corresponding number of DIFFERENT points. See how this resource works: Copy and paste this url address into your browser to see these interactive flashcards in action. https://youtu.be/BB9PCdxMcik A fully interactive set of PowerPoint slides with 30 questions associated with the cardiovascular system, this resource enables you to show the key concept and number of DIFFERENT points that have to be successfully found by the students. It's so effective because it makes students realise there is no scope for waffle and it encourages them to think about what a mark scheme would look like for each question. Alternatively, simple interactivity allows you to show the DIFFERENT points on the slide and your pupils have to determine which key concept is in the question. Perfect for whole class activities such as starters and plenaries, but also excellent for personalised learning by distributing this resource to individuals on their tablets through Showbie or your school VLE. Students will need to download the PowerPoint app (for free) from the App store or Google Play to benefit from the interactivity of this resource. A must have for all PE teachers!

GCSE PE: Training & Exercise - Multiple Choice

Probably one of the best and most innovative teaching and learning resources around! This is an interactive multiple choice resource using PowerPoint which will really help you assess your students' learning. Not many other multiple choice resources offer so much. 1. Exam style questions are displayed - without initially showing any possible answer. This encourages students to think about what the correct answer might be, before the responses are shown. So you can also use this resource for short answer questions. 2. Students can then click on each of the numbers to make the corresponding response appear. 3. If a student is sure that a particular response is incorrect, they can click on the corresponding number again to make the response disappear - thus helping to develop good exam technique as eliminating incorrect responses is good exam practice. 4. Students then choose which answer is correct and click on the main text of the response to receive immediate feedback about their response. If they are correct, the response turns green, however, if the response is incorrect the response turns red AND feedback about that response is provided, thus helping students move forward with their learning. This is also an excellent resource to use for whole class teaching on the interactive whiteboard as a starter or plenary activity and it great for assessing learning. If you are using iPads, or other tablets students can download the PowerPoint app (for free) from the App Store or Google Play. You can easily and simply push the resource to your students through Showbie. This resource can also be put onto your school VLE allowing for rich and deep personalised learning away from the classroom.
