We all want children to read for pleasure and to have ownership over what they read. Part 1:The first session outlined is really just a guide to encourage children to enjoy, explore, think about and share some of their favourite stories. Part 2: The second session involves looking at book recommendations and the language used and having children write their own book recommendation for a fictional online platform based on a much loved book. Children should have access to the two book reviews (Maria’s Island and Wonder) from the lesson for this part.
