This resource contains a powerpoint for the week which links with the different worksheets. The week focuses on “because, if, although and when” and has a worksheet for each one. The last lesson will allow the children to apply the different subordinating conjunctions. There is matching up cards for the children to do as a starter or a plenary.

Here i have created a child friendly checklist for each of the English progression papers. These can be used once the children have finished their writing to ensure everything has been included for the specific text type.

This resource contains 2 rainforest texs for fact retrieval. The first is suitable for all abilities due to differentiated questions for LA and HA. The second is more challenging, perfect for guided reading sessions with HA children. This is a weeks worth of activities.
