SOW and the first lesson in a short SOW on the Necklace. Should last about two weeks. First lesson looks at the background and introduces the students to the Historical and Social Context

Looks at Point, Evidence, Explanation, with a focus on looking at analysing the language in a quote in detail.

Drama activity for chapters 5 and 6 of Chinese Cinderella

A lesson for lower ability year 10 students to introduce them to Human Interest.

This is a lesson examining the Princes speech in Act 1 Scene 1, looking at the issue of his power-or lack of it. It was made for my very low ability year 10 group, mostly predicted Ds and Es, with a few C grades, so there is an extension task too.

Lesson exploring the cultural background of Chinese Cinderella.

Fourth Lesson in the Series, looking at the character of Mrs Joseph. Extension task provided.
