Analysis Skills Lesson Starters Bundle
Each PPT slide had a short paragraph or passage taken from a range of sources (fiction and non-fiction)
Underneath each paragraph is three tasks. A Must, A Should and A Could - this allows for pupils to work through each lesson starter at a pace suitable for them. These are analysis based tasks looking at things such as word choice and sentence structure. Would be useful for a class working on Close Reading/Reading for UAE.
Have been used as lesson starters of an extenstion activity for pupils.

Unit of work that allows pupils to explore different aspects of poetry such as: Rhyme and Rhythm, Imagery and Types of Poetry.
It is an active unit where pupils work together to discover and learn about poetry and lets them experience many different poems.
My posthumous advice for my daughter - Caitlin Moran Resources
Resources for pupils to study a non-fiction and develop their understanding and analysis skills. This is based on Caitlin Moran's article where she gives advice to her young daughter.
The two PPTs are similar but the S2 one is simplified for a younger age group. There is also a worksheet where pupils can write down what advice she gives.
