A short unit on Recital Poetry. The children created 3 poems and LOVED doing so! Please note that my class split in half on Tuesdays and was covered by an HLTA on Fridays, so these days are not ‘typically’ planned. They provide an LO and some guidance, however, which can be easily adapted.

My class loved this Roald Dahl themed Intructions unit. I got some excellent writing from them with all of the key features. A 3-week literacy unit which covers text, grammar and composition of Stories in Familiar Settings. My Year 3 class wrote fantastic descriptive and emotive stories after this unit, and also used grammatical and spelling skills with much greater accuracy.
