A KS3 lesson (8/9) or low ability KS4 recap lesson on the halogens.
The lesson is outcome driven, and included a practical (which can or cannot be included in your lesson)
Fully differentiated with numerous opportunities for checking understanding before moving on.
AQA lesson from unit 2, Bonding & Structure. This lesson follows Ionic bonding, and covers ionic structure, properties & focuses on conductivity.
Fully differentiated and outcome driven, includes past paper questions.
A fully differentiated resource for electrolysis of molten ionic compounds, including Higher tier content section around half equations & then practice papers .
Full practical based lesson on Chromatography, incl the required practical and Rf calculations.
9=1 AQA GCSE, but suits other boards.
Includes differentiated outcomes/ppt includes multiple apply tasks.
Past paper questions & required practical handout included also.
This resource covers the whole of paper 1 combined trilogy in 1 hour (we have an hour 15).
The resource follows a repetitive simple structure for each of the 5 units.
Mini knowledge quiz
Self assessment on the mini quiz
The unit on a page, time for teacher talk & discussion around 4 key domains.
Foundation or Higher Past paper Q & mark scheme.
This repeats for each unit, making for a fast paced and punchy revision resource, which can be printed & filed, or uploaded to students VLE/google classrooms after the lesson has been delivered.
Chem paper 2 will follow later this academic year.

Here are student sheets for each of the Combined Science trilogy, chemistry 9-1 AQA required practicals.
Each sheet is purposefully skeletal, to allow students to complete work alongside a practical, with a rough structure.
Each sheet also has a FAR sheet, which can be used to mark the students work (best used after the theory then practical)
Each marking sheet includes a past paper question and it’s mark scheme.
In total, 6 RP sheets & 6 marking sheets.
An entire lesson (2 dependent on ability) for collision theory, rates of reaction calculations & surface area.
Fully outcome driven against the following. Can be adapted for higher/lower ability classes.
State that chemical reactions can only occur when a collision occurs with enough energy.
Describe how surface area of a solid can be increased.
List the factors that can affect the rate of a chemical reaction.
Calculate rates of reaction
This lesson focuses on the calculation side, something students are generally weaker on, with the practical following next lesson.
Fully differentiated and scaffolded to support with examplar answer to make peer/ self assessment a big part of your lesson.
Bonding, Structure & property, whole unit.
Fully differentiated & challenging lessons for the whole unit of bonding, incl a revision lesson, past paper questions & recall throughout.
Written around AQA 9-1.
Will list lessons individually also.
