This resource contains Essential Spelling Lists 1-7 for New Zealand Students. Each spelling word search contains 10 random words from the same list for your students to find. These Essential Spelling List word searches are prefect to supplement your spelling program either in class or sent home with the student’s homework. Your students are almost certainly playing Fortnite in their spare time. Join in on the fun and earn some street cred with these Fortnite Word Searches. In Fortnite there are 4 hero (Character) classes. Soldier, Ninja, Constructor and Outlander. In this resource, I have included four word searches.,one for each class. This is an adaptation from the classic game “I have…who has…”. This game is a tried and tested game in helping students to both learn and practice counting and adding with Australian money. Two variations of the games have been included for differentiated learning. One with the same images of the corresponding currency on the cards and the other with different images of the same amount for a harder game. Mu torere is said to be the only native board game of the Maori. It is played on the points and centre of an 8-pointed star, by two players with four pieces each. The object of the game is to block your opponent so they cannot move. Mu Torere is the perfect game to celebrate Matariki, or Waitangi Day, especially if it is raining. I also put the boards in my math game area for my math rotations and early finishers. I have included 2 different game boards. First ,the traditional star board and the other being more of a wheel design (My students seem to prefer this one) Further I have included some counters for it (Or just use your plastic ones).
