A lesson that allows students to revise a set of key quotes (resources provided). Tips and quick wins are on the PowerPoint Students can also look at/ practice and assess model 5 mark answers ( I recently did an AQA training course and based the answers on this) All models are worth 5 marks. I have tried to teach y11 to condense how much they write in a 5 mark question as many run out of time in the exam. There are opportunities for students to practice using Point-Evidence-Explain with suggested strategies for the long 12 mark answer

There’s a suggested video clip and instructions. I have also included an opportunity for debate as regards the age someone should be baptised. I designed this lesson to help students with the planning of their own actions for the independent project. In addition the lesson supports students in being able to develop their own ideas for the questions within paper 2 that ask students to assess their own project. The PowerPoint allows there to be a lot of class discussion and higher order thinking In addition a detailed worksheet is included where students can highlight the positives and negatives of different types of action - very useful for revision. Outcomes: To describe different ways people can become active citizens To explain the pros and cons of different actions To decide which types of action are most effective

A set of homeworks I have created for my year 11 group that could be easily adapted for other year groups. There are a mix of: Exam Questions Revision Activities Keyword practice Some documents include more than one activity Some sheets contain peer and self assessment opportunity to reduce the marking. Activities are designed to link to the 2018 May exam as I will be using Paper 2 as my Year 11 mock examination.
