Lesson for the new 9-1 edexcel spec Lesson complete with outcomes and activities

I have designed a 40 mark mock from scratch with a mark scheme and indicative comments for the 8 marker for my y11 upcoming mock

This lesson comes fully resourced with discussion activities an around the room task etc. The lesson links to page 61-62 of the purple Christianity OXFORD textbook. The lesson ends with shorter exam questions as a plenary Outcomes Must describe what persecution means and how Christians have been persecuted through history Should explain how and why Christians respond to persecution Could consider if persecution is a force for good or evil

A lesson that could be used for revision or the teaching of censorship in the UK. The lesson comes with a variety of revision sheets/ worksheets/ youtube clips that are suggested. The lesson also looks at the regulation of the media. Students are able to look at real examples in the media and talk about why they should be censored or not. Outcomes: To identify what censorship is To explain how the TV and newspapers are monitored To evaluate why censorship and regulation of the media is important

A lesson that looks at miracles and whether they happen. It has suggested video links and activities. The lesson ends with students creating a biased newspaper article in response to the' Miracles from Heaven'. This was planned for Y7 but could be adapted for other years. It links to a topic centred upon answering Ultimate Questions

A set of worksheets to help students revise the Christian Practices unit. Each sheet defines the keyword/ summarises some key information/ allows students to complete activities and tasks to support their revision. I created these for my y11 in preparation for an upcoming mock. Students completed them as homework

This lesson supplements the purple OXFORD textbook written by Reid, G and Tyler, S. Page 48-50. It also has two or three extra activities and worksheets. The lesson also comes with exam style questions and exemplars. This could serve as a great starting point to revelation. A choice of 2 styles of worksheet have been added. For one task you can print off the worksheet on the PowerPoint slide Outcomes: Must: define and give examples of different types of revelation. Should: Explain what types and examples of revelation Could: Evaluate biblical teachings and discuss how revelation can lead to prove Gods existence

This lesson starts with a quick quiz then looks Islamic responses to pacifism using the Green OXFORD textbook (a printable worksheet is available). Students then are encouraged to partake in a silent debate to plan a 12 marker. There's also activities centred upon planning the 12 marker with various templates and worksheets Outcomes: Must: Describe what Muslim attitudes are to pacifism Explain Why it is difficult for Muslims to identify themselves as pacifists Evaluate How the ummah helps a Muslim to feel at peace

A worksheet that comes with an information/ revision sheet that allows students to prepare answers for the contrasting beliefs question in the Themes paper for the relationships and families unit Instructions on the task sheet for students: Question 3. Themes Paper. In the exam you can be asked for two contrasting (different) views. You will sometimes be asked to refer to Christianity and Islam the exam question will be phrased as below: Explain two contrasting religious views about ___________. In your answer you must refer to the majority religious tradition of Great Britain and one other Use the quote revision sheet to simply the ideas and write each point as you wold in a 4 mark question giving one idea in each box (contrast 1 and contrast 2)
