4 Sets (21pages) Ready to Print and perfect for consolidating early knowledge of Fractions. Covers halves, thirds, quarters, sixths and eighths. Can be used for individual, partner, group work or as part of a learning centre and can be used in many different ways. Print as many as is needed for – matching, sorting, Go Fish, Snap, concentration (memory game) etc.
Can make a lasting resource if printed onto card and laminated. Activities progress from simple to more complex tasks allowing for differentiation.

Set A – simple matching a picture of a fraction to the pictorial representation
Set B – matching equivalent fraction pictures with the written form
Set C - (a) Fraction picture cards, written form and the symbols =, < and >
(b) Task cards – to be used with part a. 10 cards to be completed with a partner (important in giving children the opportunity to read the fraction out loud and use the mathematical language)
Task cards include sorting fractions with similar denominators, understanding one whole is all parts, comparing fractions with different denominators, reading and comparing fractions using <, > and =, simple problem solving, arranging fractions from smallest to largest.
Set D (a) can be printed onto card or used as a worksheet. Fraction Cards have space to insert a card with = or < or >

Worksheets provide practice in reading and understanding written digital time. Cards allow children to match digital time to the written equivalent e.g. 1:00 = 1 o’clock. This worked well by using different colours for each set which were then laminated for a lasting resource.

Activity One: Children read simple definitions of being mean and bullying and then must explain the difference between the two things to 3 people and listen to 3 people explain it to them. An excellent strategy for consolidating concepts.
Activity Two: Children read through the statements with a partner (or individually if preferred), discuss and then decide which statements demonstrate bullying.
Activity Three: Multiple Choice – children read 3 different scenarios and choose the best way to react from the responses given. Great for generating discussion around the topic.
