Crack the Code- Initial Sounds Game
Urgent! Initial Sound Detectives Wanted!
Your Mission, should you choose to accept it, is to uncover the sight word sentences.
This super simple activity will help your little ones identify the initial sounds they hear in words. Children will simply write the letter of the sound they hear, underneath each picture, until a secret sight word code is revealed. There is also room at the bottom of the sheet for students to practise writing the secret sight word code they uncovered.

Sight Word/ Common Exception Words Hop
Need a fun and active way of teaching your students or children sight words? If so then this simple game is just the one for you. This simple sight word hop game can be used at part of your English corner, sports time, transition period or even in your back garden as part of a home/distance learning curriculum. It includes 52 pre-made kindergarten Dolch sight words, and 40 blank editable sight word lily pads so you can create your very own personalised version at home. Your children will enjoy hopping from one lily pad to the next, shouting aloud the sight words as they go. These lily pads are best used when cut and laminated but can be used on screen using a small toy/cut out frog to add to the fun. The sight words in the pack are written in Comic Sans so that they can be easily read by all language learners.
Top tip: These editable lily pads could also be used with any vocabulary words of your choice. They would be particularly useful for teaching ESL students new vocabulary.
