Year 6 SPAG revision sheet
I’m going to use this for early morning work to refresh the children on their grammar knowledge and to provoke discussion around the room. Welcome to take, use, edit, share etc. Welcome to make it more colourful too - haha!
Week creative diary writing resources
Slides, diary plan templates and diary extracts for a week teaching sequence on writing a creative diary.
Two week Hunger Games Split Narrative
A two week teaching sequence exploring Katniss Everdeen and Snow’s voice from the Hunger Games leading up to writing a split narrative exploring the death of Rue. The idea of shifting formality throughout.
We have also, included in this pack, split narrative writing templates to support the children in their planning.

Diary writing plan template - Writing Rev
Inspired by the Writing Revolution, I’ve created these three differentiated diary writing template’s. I created these for my year 6 class however they are easily editable for all year groups.
Year 6 - surviving a zombie apocalypse instructions. One week powerpoint
A powerpoint containing 5 lessons leading up to the writing of instructions - how to survive a zombie apocolypse. Includes planning templates which we print onto A3
Editing stations and prompt sheets
I use these editing stations and prompt sheets within my editing lessons to help support the children.
When editing, each child spends 10 minutes on each station thinking specifically about what is on the sheet. This frees up their working memory and ensures that each child can focus on the editing at hand rather than getting hung up thinking about many different things.
Free to take and use in anyway which you want.
