Currently selling and providing free resources for all three sciences, predominantly for GCSE, although there are some KS3 and A level chemistry resources available. Lots of the resources focus on differentiation and exam technique as I feel there is a profession- wide weakness in these areas.

Good for: homework; cover; revision; part of an independent project if lesson time is short
Timing: about 50 minutes
Based on the AQA spec (references included) but would work for other boards. There is a focus on the maths (mode, median, mean) and graph work. The worksheet takes about 20 minutes and would be useful for: a homework, cover lesson, catch up sheet, revision or as an independent study worksheet if there is a lack of lesson time. All questions come with the number of marks awarded to help with exam technique,
Answers are included in the separate document
Based on the AQA specification (references included), but would work for other boards.
Worksheet 1 takes about 10- 15 minutes to complete and introduces some important key terms for the Ecology module and introduces interdependence by way of a food web.
Worksheet 2 takes about 20 minutes to complete and has graded exam-style questions for the students to complete for exam technique purposes.
Both worksheets could be used for a homework, revision lesson, cover, catch-up (absent students) or as questions within a lesson. They could also be used for triple students as an independent project if lesson time is short.
Potential answers included as separate document

Exam style questions, with approximate grades given for differentiation.
Explores structural, functional and behavioural adaptation.
Includes maths calculations for surface area to volume ratio, with challenge.
Useful as a homework, revision lesson, cover lesson or as part of an independent study for triple students where lesson-time is tight.
Takes about 30 minutes to complete

based on SMART KS3 course and AQA Biology course. References for AQA and Edexcel included.
The students are given a task card, success criteria and information and develop a drama. The task card suggests the characters that might be needed, but you can ask the students to use their own characters if you feel this is best for them.
All information is differentiated to four levels, so is suitable from lower ability KS3 right the way up to higher ability GCSE.
could be done as four separate lessons or (as I did with my year 7 students) as 2 lessons where the first lesson is the creation and the second lesson is the performance. I asked them to extend their performance to 5 -7 minutes, instead of the 3-5 minutes suggested withing the lesson instructions.
The task cards were very useful for my class as it gave them the structure they needed to focus on the information they had to impart.
objectives: subject knowledge, creativity, collaboration, presentation skills
alternative: the resources could be used to create a model/ story or whatever if you have some shy students
based on SMART KS3 course and AQA Biology course. References for AQA and Edexcel included.

The task card suggests the characters that might be needed, but you can ask the students to use their own characters if you feel this is best for them. As all the students will be doing the same topic, my suggestion is that they create and perform in the same lesson.

Lesson objectives: maths; subject knowledge, exam technique
The students have to calculate means; round numbers (the harder worksheet); state modes and plot a graph. They have to use their data/graph to explain numbers of organisms.
Good for: originally designed as a homework, but also: cover, catch up sheet for absent students; part of a lesson; part of an independent project if lesson time is short

two worksheets, one for Biology students and one for Higher tier combined students, differentiated to 2 levels (hence 4 worksheets in total).
AQA references: Biology: 4.5.2.4 (temperature) and 4.5.3.3 (water level control)/combined: 4.5.3.7 (thyroxine) and 4.5.3.2 (blood glucose)
Edexcel references: Biology: 7.10B (temperature and water level control)/ combined: 7.3 (thyroxine) and 7.14 and 7.14 (blood glucose)
Useful for consolidation of the term 'negative feedback' and revision of examples encountered in the course. Also has a real life example (thermostat) and relates negative feedback to their own feelings for re-enforcement. Model answers included.
Story with characters, such as Rogen, Protesterone and Lieutenant Hormone, loosely based on West side story as a conflict between Ovary land and Pituicity. The story is made easier for foundation students by having the main points underlined and colour-coded for different characters (hormones). Comprehension questions are included to test the learning after the story.
A recording of the story is embedded in the powerpoint for your convenience.
objectives: subject knowledge, revision technique, consolidation
differentiation: foundation and higher tier stories and questions
good for: part of a lesson, e.g. starter, revision, homework, part of a cover lesson. could be used for more able KS3
PLEASE NOTE: this resource is included in the foundation and higher menstrual cycle and contraception lessons, if you prefer to purchase this with the other resources too
Developed for the new specification AQA exam board, but would work for other exam boards. Higher tier lesson are also available (which has the added lesson for fertility treatment) The menstrual cycle lesson starts with 'menst side story' where the students complete a table and then go on to make a cartoon based on knowledge gained. The second lesson requires the students to take on the role of the hormones (or other characters) to develop their peer teaching skills. Resources are fully differentiated and there is opportunity to explore exam command words. Suggested home works are included as well as required resources and potential alternative activities.
Based on the AQA specification (new specification), but would work for other exam boards. The lessons start with 'menst side story' (embedded in the PowerPoint) where the hormones play characters and the students answer questions based on the story. Students go on to build a model of the graph of the different hormone. In the contraception lesson, the students assume the roles of the hormones (and other characters) to explain how a contraceptive method works as a peer teaching exercise. Fertility treatment lesson is a debate lesson. All lessons are fully differentiated to three levels of difficulty and include opportunities to explore exam command words. Suggested home works are included, as well as information of resources required, specification references and alternative approaches, where appropriate.
for a medium to low ability class. the one leabelled 'les' just has fewer cells in it for lower ability. This could be differentiated further by taking out other cells. I reckonit would be good for a revision lesson or a homework. The students can sort the labels into at table, labelled &'cell&'; (picture), 'function&' and &';adaptations'.
Based on the Edexcel and AQA specifications (references included), but would work for other exam boards.
Exam style questions, with approximate grades given for differentiation.
Explores all aspects of the learning for photosynthesis, including a new style exam questions for the required practical.
Includes maths calculations for light intensity being indirectly proportional to distance from the light source.
Useful as a homework, revision lesson, cover lesson, part of a lesson, a send home for an ill student or as part of an independent study for triple students where lesson-time is tight.
Takes about 45 minutes to complete, if whole document completed
Both higher (grades 4 -9) and foundation (grades 2 - 5) worksheets
Answers included as a separate document
