PRIMARY FRENCH VOCABULARY CARDS KS2 FRENCH VOCABULARY CARDS KS3 FRENCH VOCABULARY CARDS 297 BEGINNER FRENCH WORDS AND PHRASES WITH MATCHING ENGLISH CARDS AND VOCABULARY WORKBOOK 594 VOCABULARY CARDS WITH WRITTEN RECALL WORKBOOKS THREE SETS @ £3.50 EACH IN THE BUNDLE Files are non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the Terms of Use - the resource is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. The vocabulary groups are as follows: salutations : jours de la semaine : mois et saisons de l’année : couleurs (masculiine & feminine) : nombres 0-60 : animaux : fruits et légumes : parties du corps (singular & plural) : ma famille : mots fréquents : matières scolaires : français pour la salle de classe : Quel temps fait-il aujourd’hui ? Bavardons ensemble ! questions et réponses The Reference, Recall & Write workbooks have 18 pages, with an alphabetical French-English reference list of all 99 words & phrases. The Recall and Write challenges help students familiarise themselves with, and really embed, the range of vocabulary in the set, and also get used to reading, writing and spelling in French. My students use their recall workbooks quite a few times, simply covering previous answers. This means that prep and paper are kept to a minimum. There are three written recall challenges in each workbook: = Written Recall Challenge One students write the English word or phrase from a French prompt, with all the words and phrases grouped together in the same category = Written Recall Challenge Two with this challenge, students write the words or phrases in French from an English prompt, and again, they’re all group together in the same category = Written Recall Challenge Three the final challenge ‘switches’ at each question from French to English, and lists words and phrases randomly from each category. This challenges the memory more than when the vocabulary is in the order learners first learn it in, with the additional challenge of moving between the two languages = Ideas, Notes and Next Steps encourages students to reflect on their progress = Card template for creative and practical application of language Laminate the game cards if you can - they are far more learner-friendly, and the additional prep and expense is definitely worth it, as the cards will last in excellent conditional for years. EFL ESL ENGLISH CHRISTMAS ACTIVITIES ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN CHRISMTAS I HAVE WHO HAS? BEGINNER ENGLISH CHRISTMAS I HAVE, WHO HAS? The resource is non-editable in a zipped format. It is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed outside your classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. This is a whole-group lively & communicative language learning game, perfect for regular use in the run-up to Christmas. I created it for the EFL / ESL classroom, and it works really well for learners across a broad spectrum of ages and stages of learning. It’s great to learn some English Christmas vocabulary, though I don’t expect my language learners to learn all of them, as the goals of the game are about speaking, listening and reading in English, and introducing learners to different Christmas traditions and practices through the images, rather than simply building vocabulary. There’s definitely a UK-theme with some of the images, such as Christmas cracker and mince pies. The game has a multi-skill focus: listening, speaking & reading, with an important bonus focus on social interaction and participation. Learners walk around, talking to each other and working together to create the chain. It’s perfect for pronunciation and reading out loud practice too. I’ve included a***whole-group presentation*** to prepare learners for the words in the game, and I also use it to talk about Christmas traditions we know, in the UK and beyond. The aim of the game is to create an alphabetical word chain, with a couple of cards slightly out of order to keep learners on their toes! This can either be a ‘human’ chain, though having learners work together to create an alphabetical line on a table, or even on the floor works really well too. There are 32 Christmas cards, so perfect for very large groups. With smaller groups, some players can simply have two cards, or select another card when they have already placed their first card in the chain. The first and last cards have I have the first card and It’s the last card - Happy Christmas written on them. Learners love it when you play too! I use the presentation to work on pronunciation, and to embed vocabulary a little more - it’s great for spelling games and quizzes too. Laminate the cards if you can - they’re far more learner-friendly, and you’ll be able to use them for years to come! Have a browse in my store for more English resources, including special offer bundles and freebies. THANKS AND HAPPY CHRISTMAS!

ESL CHRISTMAS EFL CHRISTMAS ENGLISH FOR CHILDREN CHRISTMAS BEGINNER ENGLISH CHRISTMAS TASK CARDS NUMBERS 0-31 This resource consists of non-editable files in a zipped format. It is copyright, all rights reserved. It may not be copied, rewritten, amended, shared or distributed outside your own classroom in any way. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. These English Christmas Numbers 0-31 task cards are perfect for advanced beginner English learners, and really do help to create a lively language learning environment. I’ve found that lessons around the Christmas period are a great time for revisiting and practising language and structures we’ve looked at over the semester. The questions are entirely in English, and students can develop, embed, reinforce and refresh their developing knowledge of English in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way, independently of the teacher. They have a bonus multi-skill focus on listening, speaking, pronunciation, reading and spelling. Most learners will be able to infer meaning from context and images, which have a real England/UK Christmas theme, such as Christmas crackers and mince pies, with vocabulary and structures repeated throughout, giving learners a chance to familiarize themselves really well with them. Nonetheless, it can be useful to read through the questions with the whole class first to check everyone is able to access the language, and therefore the activity, successfully. Students really do benefit in terms of language learning if they have regular and frequent opportunities to work with the cards, rather than simply working with them in a single lesson. The English Christmas vocabulary provides a really useful springboard for discussion about Christmas customs and traditions in England and the UK, comparing and contrasting these to other Christmas practices students may know. The resource comprises the following non-editable files: 48 differentiated question cards, 4 per A4 (8.5 x 11) paper. Print, laminate and cut out. Laminating is definitely worth the extra expense and prep time, as the cards as far more learner-friendly, and last for absolutely years. answer key & answer recording sheet question card template for students to apply their knowledge practically and creatively, which is an essential element in successful language learning, and is a really popular activity too. There are three sets of 99 beginner German words and phrases, with matching English cards, 198 cards in each set, 594 cards in total. There is an accompanying 18-page Reference, Recall & Write workbook with an alphabetical German-English vocabulary list. Students use their recall workbooks quite a few times, simply covering previous answers. This means that prep and paper are kept to a minimum. The vocabulary groups across the three sets are as follows: Begrüßungen : Zahlen 0-60 : Tage der Woche : Monate des Jahres : Jahreszeiten : Wetter : Körper / Körperteile : Farben : meine Familie : Tiere : Obst und Gemüse : Schulfächer : Alltagswörter : Deutsch im Klassenzimmer : Fragen und Antworten The Reference, Recall & Write books each have 18 pages. They include an alphabetical German-English reference list of all 99 words & phrases. The Recall and Write challenges help students familiarise themselves with, and really embed, the range of vocabulary in the set, and also get used to reading, writing and spelling in***German***. There are three written recall challenges: = Written Recall Challenge One: students write the English word or phrase from a German prompt, with all the words and phrases grouped together in the same category = Written Recall Challenge Two: with this challenge, students write the words or phrases in German from an English prompt, and again, they’re all group together in the same category = Written Recall Challenge Three: the final challenge ‘switches’ at each question from German to English, and lists words and phrases randomly from each category. This challenges the memory more than when the vocabulary is in the order learners first learn it in, with the additional challenge of moving between the two languages - I’ve found that this really does encourage my students to think hard about their German vocabulary. There is definitely prep involved - printing and cutting out the cards, and printing / photocopying the workbooks. There are five sets of 99 beginner German words and phrases, with matching English cards, 198 cards in each set, 990 cards in total. There is an accompanying 18-page Reference, Recall & Write workbook with an alphabetical German-English vocabulary list. Students use their recall workbooks quite a few times, simply covering previous answers. This means that prep and paper are kept to a minimum. The vocabulary groups across the four sets are as follows: Begrüßungen : Zahlen 0-100 : Tage der Woche : Monate des Jahres : Jahreszeiten : Uhrzeit (o’clock & half past) : Adjektive : deutsche Verben : in der Stadt : Schulfächer : Tiere : Verbindungswörter : Fragewörter : Obst und Gemüse : Wetter : Körper : Farben : meine Familie : Alltagswörter : Deutsch im Klassenzimmer : Fragen und Antworten The Reference, Recall & Write books each have 18 pages. Laminate the game cards if you can - they are far more learner-friendly, and the cards will remain in excellent conditional for years. FRENCH CONDITIONAL PERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE

FRENCH CONDITIONAL PERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE

(0)
ALEVEL FRENCH CONDITIONAL PERFECT TENSE CONJUGATION PRACTICE 25 high-frequency French verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys & verbs lists ideal for***A Level French*** students who are working with more complex language and texts, including a wide range of authentic resources, and developing their knowledge and understanding of tense and mood in French. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom The workbook focuses on formation and conjugation, rather than usage, though it’s definitely useful to remind students of a number of things when focusing on or revising tense and verb formation and conjugation. Language learners do often try to conflate what they know about grammar in their first language, with the grammar of the language they are learning. Students whose first language is English often look for a direct equivalent of would, similar to when they first meet the conditional tense for example, or they may use***avoir*** instead of être for verbs which require être as the auxiliary. Students do need to to have a good grasp of the auxiliary verbs être and avoir in the conditional tense , as well as the patterns for forming the relevant past participles, in order to ensure that they can form the conditional perfect tense accurately. The resource has the following structure: Two alphabetical verb reference lists: French-English and English-French. Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in French across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation. Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in French, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in French. Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding French verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt. Notes and Next Steps template which students visit regularly - it really does encourage them to think about where they are now, how confident they feel, and what they might need to work on a little more to be absolutely sure of their conjugation skills. answer key The product is non-editable in a zipped format.
