ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-100 LIST FREEBIE #2

(2)
BEGINNER ITALIAN NUMBERS 0-100 LIST I encourage my beginner Italian students to build up a comprehensive vocabulary bank that they can reference easily whenever they need it - we also use them for quick vocab quizzes, spelling competitions and so on. This particular list is for my more experienced Italian learners, who’ve been learning Italian for a while - all the numbers are on a single page in landscape format, so the font is fairly small, but they’re comfortable with quite a bit of text on a single page. My students all have reference resource folders or files - these can have a range of formats - for instance, sticking into a large exercise book, or punching holes down the left-hand side, and adding to files (we also use twine or thick string!). There are two backgrounds to choose from - Italian flag, which I tend to use for vocab display, or black wave - the background makes the list a little more visually appealing, particularly for beginner language learners who do have a lot of vocab lists during the introductory phase of their studies. Have a browse in my store for more Italian vocabulary lists, and a wide range of other Italian teaching and learning resources, with dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies too! FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES WORD WALL

FSL FLE FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES WORD WALL DISPLAY LES PAYS FRANCOPHONES I like my learners to understand the scope of the French-speaking world from the very beginning of their learning - it gives them a real understanding of the importance of French, and how widely it is spoken throughout the world. It’s easy to create and instant introduction to Les pays francophones with the word wall showing a range of world countries and territories where French is an official language and / or very widely-spoken. Each card shows the continent, country and capital city in French, and its national flag, and together they give the classroom a great multicultural look and feel. At the same time, the word wall promotes French as a living language, spoken across the globe, and featuring in the everyday life of your learning environment. There may be a number of countries and capital cities that students do not know, or are not aware of, so the word wall definitely helps them fully develop their general awareness, knowledge and understanding of world geography as well as la Francophonie - students are often genuinely amazed at the scope of the French-speaking world - French is spoken on every continent! I’ve used the definite article, as I’ve found that this helps embed the concept of gender in French, and that proper nouns, such as countries, are subject to gender agreement rules too There are two cards per 8.5 x 11 (A4) page in landscape format - the fonts is sufficiently large for students to be able to read from various locations in the classroom, which ensures you can definitely get the most from it - we do lots of recall and recognition games, spelling and geography quizzes and so on. There are two header cards : Ici on parle français and Les pay francophones. There are two backgrounds to choose from - French flag or black wave. I definitely recommend that you print on card stock and/or laminate for longevity - you’ll be able to enjoy your French-speaking Countries word wall for years to come! Have a look at this French Numbers 0-21 word wall - it’s free to download, and the design format is the same as this word wall - you’ll be able to see if it’s the right kind of display word wall for your classroom: FRENCH NUMBERS 0-21 WORD WALL FREEBIE https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/fsl-french-numbers-word-wall-12148543 Have a browse in my store for more French word walls, and a wide range of other French teaching and learning materials, with dollar deals, special offer bundles, and lots of freebies too! This kind of classroom decor provides a real learning opportunity in geography class, and this set is also a great visual prompt when you are discussing world geography in general, and Africa in particular. There may be a number of countries and capital cities that students do not know, or are not aware of, so the posters help students develop their general awareness, knowledge and understanding of Africa and its geography. There are two formats to choose from - Africa map background or plain without frame. I laminate my classroom learning decor, even though it’s extra prep time and expense. The posters display better, as flashcards they’re a lot easier to manipulate, and they do remain in excellent condition for years, so you’ll be able to recycle them many times. The posters work just as well in the world languages classroom as well as the geography classroom, aligning learning between language and knowledge of the world. It may not be copied, rewritten, shared or distributed in any way, in whole or in part, outside your own classroom. The license for purchase is a single-user license only. Please read the Terms of Use carefully. 25 high-frequency German separable verbs, 150 conjugation questions, 3 differentiated challenges, answer keys ideal for advanced beginner German students who are beginning to work with compound sentences and longer texts, and intermediate German students who are revising tense and conjugation. My students really like this kind of grammar activity, as they like to work and learn independently, which is a successful way of varying teaching and learning methodologies - I’ve found it’s really important to avoid predominantly teacher-led learning in the languages classroom. The focus is on common separable prefixes such as ab, an, aus, ein, um and zu. Prefixes such as entlang and entgegen are not included in this particular collection of verbs. The resource has the following structure: Two alphabetical verb reference lists: German-English and English-German. Three conjugation challenges, each with 50 individual conjugations: Conjugation Challenge 1: each verb conjugated in German across a range of pronouns, with students writing the corresponding English verb conjugation. Conjugation Challenge 2: gives the infinitive of each verb in German, specifying the target pronoun. Students write the corresponding verb conjugation in German. Conjugation Challenge 3: students write the corresponding German verb conjugation, and its infinitive, from an English prompt. Notes and Next Steps sheet, which encourages students to think about how their understanding of German conjugation works, what progress they have made, what their targets for improvement might realistically be, and what they might reasonably do in order to meet those targets. Students also note down any new verbs they discover, which enables them to build up a really sound verb vocabulary bank. answer key Have a browse in my store for more German grammar activities, and a wide range of other German teaching and learning resources, with special offer bundles, German dollar deals, and lots of freebies. It’s important in language learning to ensure that students quickly develop a useful Italian verb vocabulary bank, are able to recognize high-frequency Italian verbs, and are confident with the meaning of those verbs in their first or home language. At that point students can move swiftly on to looking at conjugation and using the verbs in a communicative and practical context, enabling them to produce more detailed and descriptive language. This is an integral element to successful language learning. I’ve found that vocabulary lists are a great language learning support resource, and they’re really popular with students too. They work well when students keep them carefully in learning files or folders for current and future reference, either in class or at home. They also work well printed double-sided and laminated for small-group work in class. The list is a great time-saver for teachers too - if you’re preparing resources focusing on high-frequency Italian verbs for your students, the list is a good starting point. There are two backgrounds to choose from - Italian flag, which I generally use for Italian vocabulary display or Italian grammar display, and plain. Have a browse in my store for more Italian vocabulary reference lists, and a wide range of other Italian teaching and learning resources, with Italian dollar deals, special offer bundles and lots of freebies. ENGLISH NUMBERS 0-10 WORD SEARCH FREEBIE

(1)
ESL EFL ENGLISH WORD SEARCH NUMBERS 0-10 WITH ANSWER KEY Word searches a fabulous way of encouraging learners to engage with the written word, practicing and reinforcing language as they complete the grids. This is an English-only sampler word search, focusing on Numbers 0-10. The search offers a really useful learning opportunity - consolidating not only new numbers, but also working on reading, writing, spelling and literacy skills in general. It’s ideal for learners of English as a second or foreign language. Word searches are easily differentiated, with opportunity to increase challenge gradually, and learners have to look very carefully at letters, and how words are constructed to complete the grid. They are able to identify which direction words are located in within the grid by referring to the arrow key. Here, for additional consolidation, they also rewrite each number in the word column. There is an answer grid for the word search, so that learners can check their answers - or use for a little extra help if they need it! For me, answer keys are essential, as they not only provide learners with another opportunity to engage with language, but they also help them develop more independence in their learning. They’re also a great teacher time-saver - a real bonus! The word search is in landscape format, mirroring the common direction of reading and writing from left to right, facilitating learner engagement with the activity. The landscape format is also really useful for learners whose first language is written from right to left. There is a single grid per 8.5 x 11 (A4) sheet - I like to ensure that text is accessible to all learners, and at this stage of their learning, it’s absolutely essential that language looks accessible and manageable. Word searches are really versatile too — I tend to have folders of a range of vocab/theme word searches ready in folders - we can just pick them up and they’re good to go - as starters, refreshers, plenaries or fun-time fillers at any time during the school year, as well as when there’s a particular focus on number spelling. I also sometimes copy all the grids as a workbook, and let learners simply work their way through. The workbook format is great for home learning too. I give my students of all grades and learning phases a whole series of reference lists, that build up into a really comprehensive reference bank over the course of their German program. They’re really popular with my students, as they know they can just go to their reference file or folder, and find what they need. They tell me that they feel far more confident about their German when they have a good grasp of core vocab. They’re great for quick vocab quizzes too. There are two alphabetical lists - one German-English, and one English-German, as I’ve found that beginner German students prefer to have both as a reference resource. I’ve noted where a verb is separable, irregular or conjugated with sein. If my group is small, I provide students with a set of double-sided and laminated reference resources. My students all have a reference file or folder, again from the beginning of their learning, and part of helping them develop independence in, and responsibility for, their learning, is to give them opportunity to keep their learning resources in good order, and easily accessible. The verbs are all in the infinitive form - it’s an important step in learning is to ensure that students quickly develop a useful vocabulary bank, are able to recognize high-frequency German verbs, and are confident with the meaning of those verbs in English - at that point we can move swiftly on to looking at conjugation and using the verbs in a communicative and practical context. We also use our reference lists to help students audit their developing German verb vocabulary. The list is a great time-saver for teachers too - if you’re preparing resources focusing on high-frequency German verbs for your students, the list is a good starting point.
