looking for an early bird activity... i couldn't find exactly what i wanted so created my own. Laminate and children can use overhand over- spot the numbers to 10 and write in the head lights. also some phonic reading there too! thought they might be useful for others

Three letters one sound game! are air ire igh Here’s how to play Rubber Chicken • Bundle them into a deck of cards and shuffle. • Turn the cards face down on the table. another make a row of 4 game i used in phonics sessions and also early bird activities This time it is words to decode using a range of phonics. the kids loved it!! Rules children/player has a base board pictures are placed face down in the centre- match the picture to a word on the card, decode and read. if you have it colour in and place the picture back in play first to a row of 4 .... or 5 .. or.... the whole board as mine wanted to play!!

Seagull attack! How to play Each player can have 1 or more cones to collect their ice cream scoops . Shuffle the cards and place face down in the centre of the table. Take it in turns to turn over. Find the sounds and read the word. If they read the word keep it. If not return to base of the pile. Build your ice cream but watch out for seagulls attack. If you turn this card over all your ice creams have to go back into the shop! The winner is the player with the most ice cream scoops!

How to play Each player needs Handa and her basket Place the two huts in the middle of the table. Decide which is the start pile hut and which is the return pile hut. Shuffle the cards place on start hut Player 1 turns over a card. If they read it they place in their basket. If they reveal an animal from the story they steal all your cards! Place these stolen cards in the return hut. Play continues until all cards are finished – watch out for alien goat and parrot!

This game takes me back to my youth! i have made 9 games. i am going to get the children to choose and alien, open and close the right number of times to segment the colour.. p.i..n.k / g.r.ee. n.. then choose the number on the flap in side and count again, then choose a final number, read the name and say the sound... open to check!
