We are exploring staying safe on the computers, iPads, phones etc. what to do when ad messages pop up, what to so if they are using Snapchat etc... I intend to start with the treasure chests and padlocks. What would they lock away to keep safe. Why.. talking partners etc. What is important to them, reinforcing staying safe. Then go through a range of lessons linking to staying safe online. (Passwords, talking to people they don't know, clicking buttons when they aren't sure, asking for help etc ... The mouse page will be to write some rules to stay safe what to do/ not to do. Some resources for CP within EYFS / Year 1 to provide tools to talk

here’s how to play Hot Potato! • Print, laminate and cut out all of the cards. There are over 70 word cards! • Bundle them into a deck of cards and shuffle. • Turn the cards face down on the table. Children take it in turns to turn over the top card. • If the child can read it then he/she can keep it. • If a child gets the “Hot Potato” card then he/she must give back all of the cards!! The winner is the person with the most cards at the end of the game. We also have a mat where the returned cards go rather than back into the pile to make the game shorter!

A pack of Spider activities to support a variety of skills. Peg spiders. Two versions. one ith numicon images another with numbers. I used pegs with spots for counting. You could also glue numbers onto the pegs of numicon to match numbers. The spider clip art page. i laminated just the body. Pipe cleaners were put out for children to add there own legs (hole punch too) i also had beads to encourage fine motor threading skills. To extend we created counting spider. each leg had a certain amount of beads. The web. this can be used to print spiders using a cardboard tube sniped to make legs. Roll a dice and add spider, counting spots and spider! Spider eyes. Googly eyes in the water tray and a tea strainer. how many eyes can you scoop out. count out onto the mat! I tried whiteboard pens but these were to successful hen everything was wet so this year it will be magnetic numbers!
