Au cinema is a writing frame designed to guide students written work to include a variety of linguistic features necessary for GCSE. The support phrases are in both French and English, you could leave this as cover work or give as homework or revision in preparation for the written or the spoken exam. I have used this with a top year 9 group as a challenge and they wrote some interesting pieces or with a year 10 or 11 group especially those who need more encouragement and guidance.

The second sheet gives instructions and suggestions for uses. I have found this useful with year 8 students who have already had a lesson on the structure and used this as a revision/consolidation. L'alphabet francais is a stand alone worksheet that develops dictionary skills and independance. I have used this as an activity during in class speaking assessments to keep the class busy or as a cover lesson. You can also get students to add the letter pronunciation.

Good drill to encourage students of all abilities to learn or revise French numbers 1-100 and to look for and recognise number patterns.
