This is a booklet of activities I have created to introduce some vocab about Halloween to my KS3 groups. I use it with Yr7s and 8s. This resource contains a vocab page and a total of 14 different activities. I have included the pdf as well as the Publisher document I used to create it. This resource includes: A Power Point presentation (for teachers) to show students with information about the festival of Las Fallas (Valencia, Spain). In the Power Point students will learn about the origin, the building of the structures and the most important events taking part place during the festival. There are 15 activities for students to complete, including genuine reading, listening (through videos) and translation into both English and Spanish. It is an editable document and all answers are embedded. Some extension work provided. There is also a homework task. There is a Power Point (for students) which doesn’t show any answers and that you can send directly to the printer. Also both Power Points are included in pdf format. This is a very similar resource to the other homework booklet I created: https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/resource-12276610 The main differences are: This one is designed in black & white to cut down on printing costs. Includes an instructions page and a tracker page to write down the points they get. Also includes a list of rewards they can choose from if they get a certain amount of points. The activities are the same than in the other one. This resource includes: A booklet for students to complete. A presentation with the answers. The aim with this resource is for students to be a bit more independent with regards to their homework. They have compulsory tasks and voluntary tasks. The more voluntary tasks they do, the more rewards they get. It works with a points system. I have included a pdf of the booklet but also the ppt format which is completely editable. Some fonts might disappear if you don´t have them installed in your computer.

This is a worksheet I have created after spending a bit of time on the present (regular and irregular verbs), the past (preterite and imperfect) and the future (includes near future tense). I just wanted my students to do a bit of work on the three tenses together at the same time. The worksheet includes: A mat explaining how the present, the past (preterite and imperfect) and the future (future simple and near future tense) work, including the most common irregular verbs in the yo form. 10 activities to practice answers included.

The reason why I created this pack is because I wanted to get rid of exercise books and worksheets in the class. I think it works a lot better if students have a workbook and don’t have to spend time cutting and glueing resources on their books. I cannot wait to say goodbye to gluesticks!!!
