KS3 Spanish (remote learning) - Viva 1 - Module 3 - Revision (the definite and indefinite articles)

With this lesson I am doing a bit of revision on one of the grammar topics of Module 3: the definite and indefinite articles. I am also revising a few objects from the school equipment topic, introduced to them earlier in the year. As usual, there is a slide explaining the difference between both articles, and a few interactive activities to do with them, then students can find some activities to do independently. If you like this resource, please leave a review, I would greatly appreciate it. With this resource I am going to do a bit of revision of ‘The Preterite Tense’ with my Year 9 students. For our online meeting I have prepared two activities to do with them, one is a matching up card game, where they have to match the preterite tense verbs in Spanish with their English counterparts; the other one is a quiz with a “Who wants to be a millionaire” format. Then, students will find 5 different activities, including reading, translation and gap fill. If you like this resource, please leave a review, I would really appreciate it. This is a lesson I use with my Year 9 groups. We start GCSE a year earlier just so we have time to cover everything. We use the VIVA textbook foundation, although sometimes I use some things from the higher textbook too. This lesson´s focus is on describing a holiday in the past. There is a vocab presentation and a few interactive activities to do with them, then students can find some activities to do independently. If you like this resource, please leave a review, it would be much appreciated.

Spanish KS4 - Los números - booklet of activities

This is a booklet I have created on numbers 1 to 1,000,000 for my GCSE students, although I have used it with top sets Year 9 and 8 as well. In this booklet you will find: A page and a half explaining how numbers are formed in Spanish, from 1 to over 1 million. A total of 7 activities, including a crossword, wordsearch, maths calculation, number writing and money counting. This booklet will cover a whole lesson for over an hour. My lessons are 90 minutes and none of my students managed to finish it all, some of them were very close to it though. I really hope it comes in handy! Thank you! @mflresources

Languages KS3 - Faulty echo activity

This is an activity to challenge your students to identify the mispronounciation of some words in the Target Language. I am uploading this resource in Spanish but it can easily be adapted to all languages. Here is what you have to do: You are going to read the sentences to the class out loud. You are going to read each sentence twice. The first time, you will read the sentence correctly. The second time, you will make a mistake when pronouncing one of the words in that sentence. Students have to identify the word that you pronounced wrong. Watch a video with the instructions here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDogK5s7PWY Follow me on Instagram: @mflresources

Spanish KS3 translation activity - Rock Climbers

Students have to translate five sentences by working their way up the grid. To make it more competitive, I tell them that if they mistake a mistake they lose their turn, but if they get a whole sentence right, they get one achievement point (or any other reward). It is a very nice activity that can be easily modified and adapted to students needs. KS3 Spanish - Homework booklet for Viva 1 - Módulo 2 (with answers)

This is a homework booklet that I have created for my year 7 Spanish group based on the textbook Viva 1 (Módulo 2). I always struggle with marking homework, so I thought this could be an easy way for students to do homework and it is very easy for them to mark (while I am doing the register, for example). I also think it is important to differentiate homework as not all students can cope with the same activities. This is why I thought of this system. In my school, we have a points system. If students do nice things, they get points and at the end of the year the students with the most points get different rewards. With this homework booklet, students can earn points by doing more. Each page relates to one unit of the book and it has at least (some have more) three activities: · The activities with a blue star are the easiest and they are worth one achievement point (as we call them). · The activities with a green star are a bit more challenging and are worth two points. · The activities with a yellow star (aim at different abilities) are extra, students complete them only if they want to. They are worth one point. Obviously the more activities they do at home the more points they can get. Attached with this resource you will find the homework booklet (in .ppt and pdf so you can edit things if you want to) and also a ppt with all the answers that you can easily show on the board for students to mark themselves. I hope this is useful! I am making one per module that I will be uploading soon! Bear with me! Thanks, @mflresources
