This is a homework booklet that I have created for my year 7 Spanish group based on the textbook Viva 1. I always struggle with marking homework, so I thought this could be an easy way for students to do homework and it is very easy for them to mark (while I am doing the register, for example). I also think it is important to differentiate homework as not all students can cope with the same activities. This is why I thought of this system. In my school, we have a points system. If students do nice things, they get points and at the end of the year the students with the most points get different rewards. With this homework booklet, students can earn points by doing more. Each page relates to one unit of the book and it has at least (some have more) three activities: The activities with a blue star are the easiest and they are worth one achievement point (as we called them). The activities with a green star are a bit more challenging and are worth two points. The activities with a yellow star (aim at different abilities) are extra, students complete them only if they want to. They are worth one point. Obviously the more activities they do at home the more points they can get. Attached with this resource you will find the homework booklet (in .ppt and pdf so you can edit things if you want to) and also a ppt with all the answers that you can easily show on the board for students to mark themselves. I have created this Quiz for my Year 11 students. I just wanted to make Revision Days a little bit more fun and less serious. This is a knowledge organiser I have created for my A-Levels students on the topic of family. We use Edexcel and we study this topic only for Spain, so there are no references to Hispanic America. However, the resource is editable. I would recommend printing this resource in A3, although it could also work on A4, but a lot smaller. On one side of the document students find all the notes and information they need to know about how the concept of family has changed throughout the years. I have created this escape room for the end of year, to still be able to have students working but to do something a bit more fun with them. The escape room has 10 puzzles that students have to solve. Give them the first one and check that they have the correct code, then keep giving them in order as they complete each one. The topics that the 10 puzzles cover are: Food Clothes Means of transport Body parts Mix (family, personality, what you do at the weekend using near future tense) Hair & eyes Connectives and time expressions Town and region The time Mix (general knowledge of vocab such as pets, animals, subjects, verbs, etc). It is an ideal activity for years 7 and 8. It could also work with some year 9 groups (mixed ability, bottom sets).
