In this lesson I am focussing on the new changes that the immigration law in Spain have had this year. This is a homework booklet that I have created for my year 7 Spanish group based on the textbook Viva 1. I always struggle with marking homework, so I thought this could be an easy way for students to do homework and it is very easy for them to mark (while I am doing the register, for example). I also think it is important to differentiate homework as not all students can cope with the same activities. This is why I thought of this system. In my school, we have a points system. If students do nice things, they get points and at the end of the year the students with the most points get different rewards. With this homework booklet, students can earn points by doing more. Each page relates to one unit of the book and it has at least (some have more) three activities: The activities with a blue star are the easiest and they are worth one achievement point (as we called them). The activities with a green star are a bit more challenging and are worth two points. The activities with a yellow star (aim at different abilities) are extra, students complete them only if they want to. They are worth one point. Obviously the more activities they do at home the more points they can get. Attached with this resource you will find the homework booklet (in .ppt and pdf so you can edit things if you want to) and also a ppt with all the answers that you can easily show on the board for students to mark themselves. I have created this lesson for my Year 12 students to talk about typical Spanish food. They will look at 10 different Spanish dishes (although there are many more!) and they will learn about the origin of tapas. This is a booklet that year 7 students can use to revise Viva 1 Module 2 (Mi tiempo libre). The booklet includes a total of 11+ activities (vocab, translation, reading, crossword, wordsearch…) and a vocab sheet. Answer key is included. There are six documents in the file: A Power Point of the booklet without answers plus the pdf version. A Power Point of the booklet with the answers plus the pdf version. A Power Point document of the vocab sheet and the pdf version. The Power Point files are editable, so you can add, remove or change anything you want.

This is a lesson I have created for module 7, unit 2 (Mis prácticas laborales). We use Edexcel in my school but I am sure it can be useful for AQA or easily adapted. As I wanted to cover a variety of things for this particular unit, I split it in two lessons, and they include: An overview of what we will be studying every lesson of M7 A starter task (x2) A variety of activities (vocab, reading, listening, etc). A sentence builder to talk about work experience Translation activities (both ways) writing task with instructions and steps to section their writing task (I advice them to use 4 different steps - see picture). Preterite and imperfect (explanation and activities) Homework (x2) All answers included and embedded in Power Point. The document is a Power Point file and completely editable. IMPORTANT: please be aware that this is a lesson to use alongside the textbook. All activities are my own creation based on the vocab of the higher textbook (pages 158-159). This is a lesson I have created for the textbook Dynamo 2 (vert), Module 4 (Le monde est petit), Unit 1 (Elle est comment, ta région?). In this lesson students learn about: Talking about where you live Using “on peut” The lesson includes a starter task and a variety of activities (genuine reading, translation, vocab activities, etc). I teach a mixed-low ability group, therefore the activities are simple and easy to follow. It includes a vocab sheet. This lesson could also be used as cover. Please note that I am not a French native speaker and my knowledge of French is intermediate. If you spot any mistakes you can let me know and I am always happy to amend and re-upload the resource. The resource is also editable so that you can make any changes you want.

I only teach units 1 - 4 from the textbook, then I add a lesson on school equipment and another lesson to revise for assessment, which for this module is assessment, so this booklet is adapted to my teaching.
