This is a fun game of bingo to teach students the names of musical instruments. Can be used for KS2 or KS3.
Students fill in the bingo grids and then cross of the instruments as they appear on the screen. They win if they get 4 in a row.
Quick resource for students learning note names and durations. This can be printed and students can match the symbol with the correct name and value. Students could also create rhythms out of the notes and rests and play them.

This updated scheme of work is 8 lessons or 4 double (2 hour) lessons as it is presented.

Knowledge covers: Instruments of the orchestra and basic music theory and keyboard skills.
Resources include: 4 x double lesson powerpoints that can easily be split. 1 x assessment powerpoint (to print and hand to the students to fill in). Keyboard booklet and bingo grid.
This resource is a workbook that will thoroughly prepare the students for the component 2 coursework. It ensures they know what to do to hit all of the criteria of the coursework. This can be used as a framework for how to prepare the students. I have worked closely with the mark scheme/marking grids to ensure everything is covered.

As part of the component 1 coursework, students are required to give practical examples of the elements of music within a style. This booklet gives students the resources to play these styles. EG the melody in reggae music - this booklet has the riff from Three Little Birds for students to learn and play.
