A fantastic tried and tested resource, This is a really fun and engaging lesson where children will learn about coat of arms and flags, what they are and why they were important. Children will then have the opportunity to create their own Coat of Arms and a flag. Why not use the worksheet as a planning sheet and let children move on to create their flag as part of a Design and Technology lesson?!

A fantastic resource pack for exploring materials with a fun pirate twist. All of the resources I publish have been tried and tested. The children in my class particularly enjoyed these lessons. Lesson 2 - A fun pirate challenge to explore floating and sinking Lesson 2 - Another fun pirate challenge to explore waterproof and absorbent materials. The first PowerPoint will explore the different defensive features of a castle, with an accompanying worksheet. The Notebook presentation goes on to introduce the trebuchet and catapult. Children can then make their own simple catapult using simple materials. The final Notebook presentation introduces the different weapons knights would use in battle with an accompanying worksheet.
