An informative PowerPoint to explore the key features of a castle
Two worksheets for children to label the key features of each of these types of castles.
A great independent resource. A place value puzzle where children match the number, with how many tens and ones in the number and how the number is represented using dienes.
This is a great differentiated resource that has been tried and tested. This resource can be printed on a worksheet or on large stickers. Children will look at each purse picture and find out the amount in each purse by adding the coin totals together. This resource is differentiated for LA, MA and HA to save you some time.
A fantastic, tried and tested lesson. Using the intro PowerPoint explore what the life of a servant in a castle would have been like; you could even get children to role play so that they can get into character. Children can then have a go at writing a diary entry from the life of a servant using the beautiful differentiated scroll worksheets and the diary writing frame to help them. If you have any early finishers, why not ask them to draw a banquet table and use the food activity sheet to either draw their own food items on the table, or cut and stick from the sheet.
This is a fantastic resource that enables children to explore the relationship between addition and subtraction. These could be printed smaller to be glued into books or why not laminate them and ask children to complete them with a board marker so then can be used again and again.
A fantastic and engaging assembly! It gets children involved and is lots of fun (tried and tested). This assembly will support children in considering the choices they make and to get them to think about making good choices. This assembly pack includes a script and PowerPoint.
A fantastic resource pack for exploring materials with a fun pirate twist. All of the resources I publish have been tried and tested. The children in my class particularly enjoyed these lessons.

A lesson plan covering 3 lessons
Lesson 1 - An introduction to materials with a focus on sorting man-made and natural materials.
Lesson 2 - A fun pirate challenge to explore floating and sinking
Lesson 2 - Another fun pirate challenge to explore waterproof and absorbent materials.
A great follow on to this activity is for children to use their scientific knowledge to make their own pirate ships. Why not have a look at my Design and Technology resource pack to make a pirate ship.
This is a great resource to introduce children to the concept of belonging and the symbols related to different world religions.
You could begin by asking children to tell a friend about the different clubs and groups they may belong to and how they show that they belong. Using the PowerPoint, go on to explore the different religions people may belong to and the symbols that relate to them. Children can the match religious symbols with the correct religion. Also included in this resource pack is some religious symbol colouring sheets.
A great tried and tested resource that can be spread across 2 - 3 lessons that really engage all learners.
The first PowerPoint will explore the different defensive features of a castle, with an accompanying worksheet.
The Notebook presentation goes on to introduce the trebuchet and catapult. Children can then make their own simple catapult using simple materials.
The final Notebook presentation introduces the different weapons knights would use in battle with an accompanying worksheet.
A fantastic fun and pirate themed resource to support children in using the suffix -er and -est in their writing. Stick the pirate activity picture into children's book. They can then write sentences in their book using the suffixes e.g. Sea Dog is braver than Captain Black Beard. Jack Sparrow is the bravest pirate. etc. Also included is a red pen question to support deepening learning.
A beautiful and well constructed PowerPoint introducing children to houses and homes from around the world. This resource pack also includes an accompanying worksheet.

Included in this pack are 2 great activities to support children in recognising inverse operations for addition and subtraction.
Fact Family Matching Cards - children can work together to arrange the cards into fact families; this will support children in beginning to recognise inverse operations.
Triangle Family Fact Sheet - a great resource that encourages children to recognise the position of numbers in a number sentence e.g. the biggest number at the end of an addition number sentence but at the beginning of a subtraction number sentence. These sheets are designed to be laminated so that children can use them time and time again as they develop confidence in this activity. Why not save paper and laminate pouches by printing them off double sided?
