A progression of mental maths strategies for multiplication and division from a basic level to GCSE level. The strategies are grouped as ‘Change’ or ‘Split’. It invites students to change a problem, to an easier form, before splitting numbers, if necessary, to carry out a calculation. This is a useful resource for Maths teachers of all age groups to see what are the next steps for their students and also to see the range of different possible strategies available.
