Miss Andrew’s One Word Learn! Is a brilliant and effective way of getting secondary students to learn new vocabulary regularly. The PowerPoint is colourful and funky! Workbook is included in this download. The idea is to introduce 1 new word at the start of each English lesson (could also be used as a house or extra-curricular activity). You would spend about 7-10 minutes, start to finish on this. For each word there are 4 slides: Title slide: Introduces the word. Definition slide: Gives definition of the word from Oxford Dictionary. Example slide: Two sentences showing the context in which you could use the word in. Activity slide: A wide range of English activities to complete using your new words; such as synonyms, antonyms, sentences, word search, similes, metaphors etc. There are 10 words included in this PowerPoint and 41 slides in total. Our whole school use it and the progress and feedback has been extremely positive! This is the second edition. Can buy both in a bundle! Hope you like it!:)

This is a great resource for helping children to understand story development through writing and pictures. This download includes a storyboard and 4 mini stories for children to break down and create a storyboard. The first 2 stories are very easy and the last 2 are harder; children will have to think more about this. Good for a class activity or even an assessment to see their understanding skills.
