Make your students feel like a spy trying to crack a code in a fun and novel way for students to practise ordering decimals, substitution, metric length conversions and coordinates in all 4 quadrants. Each skill has a different sheet, so there are 4 total worksheets all with awesome Halloween clip art and answers included. The skills included here are normally covered in year 7 but could be used for any year group as a fun consolidation. This gymanstics pair balances reference sheet and task card set are perfect for your Primary or Secondary Gymnastics Lessons. This resource includes a set of Gymnastics Pair Balances task cards for pairs balances and routines as well as an A4 differentiated visual aid (with around 50 balances) students can use to copy the paired balances from. The tasks take students through how to match and mirror individual balances and matching and mirroring independently. The levels are the old national curriculum levels 3-8 however they are easily editable and changeable to your own assessment levels. Each lesson has diagrams, assessment levels, differentiation , clear teaching points, links to videos that show the skill and afl opportunities. As well as clear explanations of the tasks. There are no timings included as each school can vary in terms of lesson time. They should provide enough tasks for lessons of 40 minutes and above. Useful in a lesson on balance or routines and great for independent work.There is a standing balances station, a kneeling and sitting balances station, a inverted balances station and a support balances station. There are enough balances on each station card to cater to complete beginners and for experienced gymnasts. Colour and black and white versions included (to save on ink). A treasure hunt on finding the circumference of a circle when given the radius or diameter. Perfect for a lesson on circumference of circles. This one is Blue (easy) - Find the circumference of a circle . Students need to start on any random card and note down the letter on their recording card. They answer the question on that card then find another card that has the answer on (they then note down that letter and so on). Suggestions for use: Print them off on A4 and scatter them around the room (students love getting out of their seats!) Christmas maths - tessellations. Christmas themed tessellation activity for students to complete in class or for homework. A great consolidation activity that can engage students at Christmas. This could more than a whole lesson if you get the students to tessellate a design and then also colour it (great for displays!). Skills include translating a shape when given worded instructions, translating a shape using vectors and describing the transformation. Time saving resource for busy teachers!
