These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

Nobody Has A Private Life - additional Option

This is part of a full scheme of work - all powerpoints and resources have been uploaded. Powerpoints are all separate uploads, saved by lesson numbers 1,2,3 etc. There are 9 lessons in total. Also uploaded as part of this section are resources. All lessons are saved under 'Nobody Has a Private Life'. This scheme is quite old, and will need some adapting as it was written in my PGCE year. However, it's a good starting point and pupils have very much enjoyed it over the years. Also has strong citizenship links!

Literacy Starter – Comprehension

(1)
Literacy Starter – Comprehension These few slides can be added to the start of any lesson to use as a settler for when the pupils come into the room and to incorporate literacy skills into your lesson. This particular exercise is a reading comprehension style – there is a text and, if you print off the questions, pupils can answer them whilst you get the lesson set up. This text is aimed at level ¾ readers.

If you type 'spoken language study Miss R' into a resources search at the top of the screen, they will all come up in a list. This one is a lesson that looks at the features of spontanious speach.
