These are the second half of the lessons of a scheme of work that I created last year for DNA by Dennis Kelly. It is aimed at a year 9 class, as the idea is that I am starting to prepare them for GCSE Literature. Therefore, the scheme is a mix of analysis and playing with the text too. I've used a variety of ideas to teach it. All lessons are complete lessons in themselves with the resource at the end of the powerpoint, so they are all embedded. You may wish to adapt / cut apart and mix them up.

This is a series of lessons that I've used with year 9 based on the scene from a film task for AQA. It wasn&'t actually submitted as controlled assessment as it is part of building pupils up ready to sit CA in year 10 and 11.

If you do the same paper as I did with your class, then this lesson is perfectly set up - if they make the same / similar mistakes that my class did. Otherwise, I hope it will act as inspiration / template for feeding back lesson.

Continuing with the IGCSE Scheme of work - all of my lessons to date are on here to help other teachers who are facing this for the first time. I am working with an exceptional trainee at the moment & we are promoting the work of author Roger Hurn. He uploads his work to the TES é we have downloaded it for our level 2 é 3 Year 7s.
