This is a lesson designed to structure the reading of the above two chapters.

Identity 4 – Character and Language This is a full lesson PP, ready to use, although you will want to update it for your own use - that covers the theme of identity. This lesson has Learning objectives of: To be able to empathise with a character and understand why we empathise. To be able to comment on the language used by an author and state why the language is effect.

Apprentice Scheme - Analytical Writing - resources These are the remaining resources of a series of 6 lessons that are modelled on the Junior Apprentice. Pupils are encouraged to invent their own Ice Cream Product and launch it . They write a pitch for their product which can be assessed - either against FS level 2 criteria in English or NC APP levels. There are 6 lessons altogether - all uploaded separately and then the resources are uploaded as a separate upload together.

Functional Skills lesson on letter writing

This is a revision aid given to pupils prior to the exam. Will need adapting now for new specifications in English.

This is one of several powerpoint lessons that I have uploaded for KS3 pupils that gets them to investigate the use of shock tactics. The lesson is ready to teach with it's resources (if aplicable). Although, you will wish to adapt and differentiate for your own class. They can be taught together to reach an assessment outcome, but all are suitable as standalone exploratory lessons. This lesson covers the use of persuasive techniques alongside shock tactics.
