Although, the Old specification is no longer used for GCSE, I am aware of colleagues that still use past papers for teaching the skills for the new spec. Therefore, althout these lessons may not be relevant in the mainstream, they can be adapted and still used for revision purposes.

This is one of the many lessons and resources that I have uploaded for the teaching of Macbeth to year 7s working at level 4/5 in English. It's based on an end result of old SATs style type question that can be APP'd. These are 2 sheets - One is just the question and instructions. The other is differentiated with a writing frame - Question: Imagine you are going to direct these extracts for a theatre performance. Explain how the actor playing Macbeth should show his reactions, and give reasons for your suggestions.

English Functional Skills Lesson 4 Level 1 and 2 These are lessons that are aimed at NC level 5 /6 / GCSE D/C learners who are trying to get Level 1 / 2 in Functional Skills English. I will uploaded as many lessons as I can find. I certainly have the first 4 of this unti that encorporates a little Maths but predominantly English. These lessons look at the notion of family and marriage and whether or not marriage is still relevant.

This is one of the designs of praise postcards used to send out to parents of pupils when they have done well in English.

This is 1 of 5 lessons that is based on the Apprentice. Pupils analyse texts and the programme in order to come up with their own product and deliver a pitch. The Pitch is assessed as the GCSE group work speaking and listening component. The Real feel of the product is to ensure that they are competent with what they are actually talking about. All lessons are uploaded with the powerpoint and the resources as separate uploads but they are numbered and labelled as above for ease of searching.
