These resources span my career; from my period of teaching unqualified, through to an AST of English & Director of Teaching & Learning. Although my specialism is English, I have taught GCSE Citzienship, Language and Lit, Media Studies, Maths & History. I have also taught all of those at Key Stage 3, so there is an eclectic mix here. As the main trainer in my previous school, I have uploaded many insets and training session powerpoints too.

Therefore, althout these lessons may not be relevant in the mainstream, they can be adapted and still used for revision purposes.

Although, you will wish to adapt and differentiate for your own class. They can be taught together to reach an assessment outcome, but all are suitable as standalone exploratory lessons. This lesson introduces shock tactics to pupils so that they know what they are.

This is one of the many lessons and resources that I have uploaded for the teaching of Macbeth to year 7s working at level 4/5 in English. It's based on an end result of old SATs style type question that can be APP'd. These are 2 sheets - One is just the question and instructions. The other is differentiated with a writing frame - Question: Imagine you are going to direct these extracts for a theatre performance. Explain how the actor playing Macbeth should show his reactions, and give reasons for your suggestions.

Apprentice Scheme - Speaking and listening 1

This is 1 of 5 lessons that is based on the Apprentice. Pupils analyse texts and the programme in order to come up with their own product and deliver a pitch. The Pitch is assessed as the GCSE group work speaking and listening component. The Real feel of the product is to ensure that they are competent with what they are actually talking about. All lessons are uploaded with the powerpoint and the resources as separate uploads but they are numbered and labelled as above for ease of searching.
