Students have to cut out definitions and examples of different literary devices. They then work individually or in pairs to put each definition and example with the correct terms.
Outline for LC English students learning to organise essay responses. Students are asked to use a specific Kavanagh Poem to fill out the organiser. Students follow step by step process until they have an introduction, conclusion and one poem analysed in relation to the question.
Students analyse additional Kavanagh poems using the handout structure to help them write arguments on addition poems. When complete, students will have a completed essay.
Teachers can choose for students to complete introduction/conclusion at different times of their choosing.
This unit is the perfect introductory unit to help develop History and English skills.
