Reading cue cards, 2 differentiated word searches Both wordsearches come with their own differentiated version, i.e. learners can access both word searches either through a word list or through solving clues. The reading cue cards can be printed 5 to a page and feature the picture and the matching word. These could be cut up for a variety of matching activities and games. A French-English vocabulary list is provided along with a solution sheet for the clues and both word searches. An additional Fre/Ger/Eng vocabulary list is also provided. Suggestions for use and differentiation are also included. All files are uploaded as .pdf, taken both from A4 and letter formats of Word .doc files. Also included are 2 ‘prompt writing frame’ documents with those additional questions (different questions for foundation and higher tiers) to encourage your students to write up keywords and phrases for later practice and revision. German speaking countries Quiz

A differentiated quiz with 45 fact-packed questions for 50 points. This activity is based on the topics of arts, history and politics, geography, food and drink, travel and tourism in some German-speaking countries. Three levels of differentiation with answer sheets! It is advised that learners should use an electronic device, e.g. computer, notebook or at least a mobile phone in order to research their answers. The countries included are Austria, Germany, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, with one question on Namibia. The two answer sheets differ only in that one is in English and the other is in German. All questions are the same at all levels on all 3 question sheets, though one English version has the number of points to be gained written into each section and into answer boxes if more than 1 point to help learners. The medium version is all in English with no hints for amount of points. The harder version is all in German, no hints of points and comes with its own German answer sheet. This game will enable learners to consolidate and revise important kitchen hygiene and safety rules, incl. game board and 35 cards. Land on a red square and pick up a red card to explain what went wrong and how to put it right. Land on green and pick up a green card to explain that rule to other players.
