The fifth in the series of Little Symphonies written for intermediate school orchestra, first performed by the West Somerset Junior Orchestra.
Loosely classical in style with influences from African Drum rhythms and other musical fields.
Suitable for players of a wide age range with parts ranging from grade 1 to 6 roughly.
A four movement Double Concertino for Viola and Trumpet composed for Jasmine and Abi in the West Somerset Junior Orchestra.
When printed the parts can be compiled without page turns with 1st and 4th movements taking 2 pages and the shorter inside movements a page each.
ABRSM Grades 1-6 standard, with the solo parts roughly 5-6

Composed in a light classical style Aria and the Blue Peter Variations suit an intermediate standard school or amateur orchestra, and have been performed with great success in the Westcountry.
Shanty time takes the well known 'Drunken Sailor' , mixing it with 'Roll the Old Chariot Along' and other traditional tunes for a performance piece designed with a secondary orchestra in mind, but involving pupils from the feeder primary schools taking on percussion parts. Great Fun, and first performed on Red Nose Day a a few years ago now!
The Concertino for Viola and Trumpet makes up the bundle, and was the first Orchestral piece written for the West Somerset Junior Orchestra back in 2003. Needs soloists at about grade 5.

Written for School Performance, but adopted by Churches and the Exmoor Carolers who perform to a warm reception in the North Devon and Exmoor area.

This Christmas carol became quite popular in North Devon and West Somerset when I was teaching there. In the bundle are mixed ensemble arrangements for different instrumental groups including some very simple parts. Any combination should work!
The Exmoor Carolers Perform this with hand bells picking out the chords of the chorus which can be quite effective!
Accessible, simply written musical sections from the Eucharist Service, with simple keyboard parts and chords.

Includes 4 part easy arrangement for school orchestra to accompany. Parts come in different transpositions.
A sheet to teach the well known tune using two hands. The tune can be played unaccompanied, but chord symbols are added so a pupil can be accompanied, or more able students might merge chords and tune ignoring the 2 hand fingering.
A second sheet puts the right hand tune up an octave and gives indications as to how the right hand changes position.
