I have over 10 years experience in teaching Geography, leading a successful Geography Department & Humanities Faculty. I have decided to take a career break as I have become a first-time mum. I have built up an incredibly large bank of my own designed resources over the years, not limited to geographical topics. I thought to share them with fellow educators here. I know all too well the pressures and time constraints so I am hoping that my resources will help other departments and schools along.

This workbook includes all the case studies in the GCSE Geography AQA Specification. May be used as CW or HW and when ultimately completed, may be used as a student-made Knowledge Organiser for all Geographical case studies. Each case study lays out a group of titled textboxes relevant to the case study at hand in which the students must fill out. They must summarise the main facts to fit into each textbox which encapsulates the main knowledge required for any style of exam question about each case study. Each one also include a sample of an exam question which may be further specified by the class teacher. From experience, this workbook works well for those students deemed ‘Higher Able’, who are able to condense large section of textbook information into short summaries, who are confident in their writing skills. It is also aimed at students who show an interest in practicing exam skills and planning responses to exam styled questions in relation to case studies. Another use for this response may be as a Stretch & Challenge project that may last several weeks or months. It may not be appropriate for the Middle & Lower Able and those who find large chunks of information confusing.
