Packaging is a series of Powerpoints that form a Unit of Work that supports the teaching of Design, in particular Packaging. Packaging is aimed at developing the skills needed to understand the process of Packaging and how to design a suitable product that fits the needs of the consumer. The aim is for the pupils to study the process of packaging, use 3D shapes from nets, develop their own ideas and design a cereal packet. This unit encourages learners to consider some of the factors that may affect healthy lifestyles such as diet and exercise. A variety of open-ended activities invite learners to think of their own ideas and to reflect on some of the choices available to them. The unit focuses explicitly on some Welsh foods and the availability and flavours of locally produced foods.

This lesson introduces pupils to the techniques used in newspaper reporting.
Pupils will get the opportunity to analyse a story and write their own report, using a photo library.
They will be asked to insert their reports into a newspaper template.

This interactive activity provides opportunities for the exploration of structure in musical composition. It features a character called Dewi the Dragon.
The activity teaches pupils how the order of sounds in a sequence may be changed to create different compositions.
Pupils are asked to create their own sequences using instrument sounds they have selected and are then asked to perform these sequences.
Pupils are able to use pictorial resources to help them sequence their musical ideas.

This unit comprises of 5 traditional childrens’ Spanish songs for young learners to sing along to.
The audio for each song includes a karaoke version and a version with Spanish children singing.
The accompanying interactive activities focus on specific elements of language within each song.
