On March the first 2005 Gwenno Dafydd was taking part in the National St David’s Day Parade in Cardiff and ringing a heavy bell similar to the bells used by Saint David. She had a flash of inspiration and decided that a fitting song was needed to celebrate the occasion. At the first opportunity Gwenno wrote the words and her musical partner Heulwen Thomas composed the tune.

An interactive whiteboard resource designed to extend understanding of feeding relationships. Suitable for upper KS2. Pupils are reminded of feeding relationships and food webs are revised. They are then asked to consider what would happen if one section of the web was changed or removed. Introduced to the term interdependence. Pupils then continue to investigate the effects on an ecosystem when part of it is altered in any way. Simplified models are shown and it should be stressed that the effects are far more complex in reality.
