Lessons for walking through Act 4 Scene 1 and 2 taught to LA Y11.

Displays focusing on theory, vocabulary and teminology. Made for Edexcel but suitable for AQA with a few tweaks on ‘IDEAL C’

Act 5:1 exam question on Lady Macbeth and ‘Purple Pen’ lesson to follow including key learning points, context of the supernatural, spellings and redrafting.

English language Paper 1A. Students watch a series of clips to help them understand structure. In the following lessons students used extracts and found this much easier as they had applied their skills to video clips first,

Macbeth revision quiz with three rounds including vocabulary, quotation catchphrase and the plot. Also, a literacy task looking at exam skills needed for the literature exam- used as a starter,

An exam walk through looking at the presentation of The Royals in the media. This really engaged my KS4 classes.

Student must use extended metaphor to develop a piece of writing. Includes examples and materials for a class model. I used a Life of Pi clip to engage students.

PP will last up to 2 weeks depending on class ability and how long you want to spend on developing writing and peer assessing. The skills numbers match up to Doddle skills however these could easily be changed as the skills are very universal. Focus on improving vocabulary and peer/ self assessment. Images are emotive focusing on 9/11, war and Chernobyl.

Question to be completed in exam conditions followed by walkthrough, however, this could always be edited to give students a lesson first followed by the exam.

Introduction to Piaget with knowledge for A01 and A01. Printable worksheet to accompany slides and activities to check learning. Includes critique of theory. I found this covers 2 lessons.

Resources looking at graphology and orthography. Looks at King James Bible.

A range of lessons (lasted me around 2 weeks) talking Y10 students through their first attempt at language exam paper 1. Could be edited to become more challenging.

Ignorance and Want- Stave 3- Practice Question.

A range of lessons on Act 3 of Macbeth. Looks at scenes 1,2 and 4. Includes activities considering imagery as well as opportunities for extended writing. Used with LA-MA KS4.

PP including a range of activities used with a LA class to help them access War Photographer. Some members of the class were EAl.

The activities on the PP were created by me for use with a LA 10 class who have just started looking at Paper 2. Initially students attempted the exam paper and then we had a walk through focusing on inferring information (2) using terminology (3) and the success criteria for Q4. I have made structure strips to assist in answering the Section B question. The original paper is not my own.

PP and revision worksheet covering key points of all four theories. The idea is that students are given the mind map template at the end of the PP and make notes throughout the lesson.
