This is an IB DP Physics game to break-up the harder parts of teaching IB DP Physics. It is based on Topics 1, 2, 3 and 6 as these are the early topics I taught in my DP 1 class. It is simple, effective and engaging and even a child can try it! If you have any questions, please feel to DM me on instagram @theteachingastrophysicist Let’s Connect! Dynamic Seating plan

This is a dynamic seating plan that helps keep students in groups and assigned seating that can help your classroom management, but also allows for shifting that keeps students from being frustrated with the same placement all the time. It is easy to use and brilliant to keep students guessing and happy that they are with different students, while giving teachers a measure of control on who sits where. Veritasium Video companions

Simply, set and relax as these video companions will help make sure your students are paying attention throughout these videos, having a variety of questions throughout the length of the video. I have laboured long and hard to make these video companions as easy as possible to engage with and to be able to use for teachers of any kind, whether in school, higher education or home schooling, these can be great to keep students engaged and know they watched the material fully. The video companions include: Astronomy related: Do you expand with the universe? Does planet 9 exist? Half the universe was missing… until now How one supernova measured the universe These are the asteroids to worry about Why gravity is NOT a force Why the speed of light can’t be measured How To Clean Up Space Junk Why Apollo Astronauts Trained in Nuclear Bomb Craters **Non-Astronomy related: ** Can you swim in shade balls? How trees bend the laws of physics How Kodak exposed the Atomic bomb These pools support half the people on Earth Why Are 96,000,000 Black Balls on This Reservoir? States of matter How Special Relativity Makes Magnets Work The Most Radioactive Places on Earth The bizarre behaviour of rotating bodies explained Flamethrower vs Aerogel Ice spikes explained Make plasma with grapes in the microwave Making liquid Nitrogen from scratch Misconceptions about heat I Waterproofed Myself With Aerogel! World’s Lightest Solid! Usage: The layout of these video companions are that there are both teacher and student versions of all of these documents. The teacher versions contain the solutions and the administrative information. The student versions contain only the questions and spaces for students to fill in the work. They are easy to use and all in PDF form, including one large ‘master file’ so you can see all the content in one broad sweep and see what video companion will work for you and your students easily. Disclaimer: This work is intended to be a course companion and is all original work based on supporting and aligning with the hugely successful youtube series – Veritasium. The host of the series is Derek Muller. The respective rights and content are their own and below to Veritasium and its owner. Revision game - Snakes and Ladders

(0)
A Classic revision game - Snakes and Ladders. This version contains some example multiple choices questions from the IGCSE Physics course, however to get the maximum benefit from this game, it would be best if the teacher already had a set of multiple choice questions complete with answers. Used together with a set of multiple choice questions, this game makes a fun and interactive way to review multiple choice style questions. MYP STEM by concept and criteria / 90 STEM topics

(0)
This product is the culmination of a huge amount of work and is my ultimate work in attempting to link MYP and STEM education at a clear and teacher friendly level. This document links MYP STEM by concept and criteria and 90 STEM topics which has career related links. It covers MYP Science, Mathematics and Design thinking. Providing over 90 STEM topic primers with practical advice to get you going on your MYP STEM journey. The career related links are a huge plus, so when students ask why they might be interested in learning this STEM topic, you will be able to say well with this learning you could be… an astronaut, a radiotherapist, a builder, an artist or a professional hacker. IB MYP - Nature of Science - introductory unit plan

(0)
This is an IB MYP - Nature of Science - Introductory unit which is perfect for introducing young students to the nature of science in society and the scientific process as a whole. This would be ideal as an introductory unit to MYP science. It an overview for a unit that should run for approximately 17 lessons (assuming 2 lessons a week). If instead you are looking for an MYP unit planner which is for young students and integrates both mathematics and STEM, then you might consider: MYP Artifical limb unit. For older MYP students, then I would suggest The NGSS related - Zero impact (sustainable housing) or for an Interdisciplinary unit - the Electricity / lightning MYP STEM IDU. This is an IB MYP - Food and energy related unit - which is ideal for relating biology and chemistry in a holistic way by considering the concepts of food and energy. This unit relates food as energy, endo- and exothermic reactions, kinetic energy, growth, a balanced diet and dietary deficiencies. It an overview for a unit that should run for approximately 18 lessons (assuming 2 lessons a week). If instead you are looking for an MYP unit planner which is for young students in MYP and would be an ideal first unit for their science, then consider: Nature of Science - introductory unit plan. If rather for younger students you want to integrate both mathematics and STEM, then you might consider: MYP Artifical limb unit.
