I came up with this activity, which will also work great for back to school, that will help you work on expressive language skills, articulation, fluency, and voice. Ten roll-a-story cards for your students to use during their writing lessons. Roll a dice 3 times to get a character, setting and problem. Great for: Warming up during a circle time. Warming up during one to one sessions. Using imagination to tell a story. Working out how to solve a problem. Understanding emotions and what would create that emotion. Speaking, listening and turn taking.

This is my version of a popular game - Dobble. Dobble is a simple pattern recognition game in which players try to find an image shown on two cards. Each card in Dobble features eight different symbols, with the symbols varying in size from one card to the next. Any two cards have exactly one symbol in common. For the basic Spot it! game, reveal one card, then another. Whoever spots the symbol in common on both cards claims the first card, then another card is revealed for players to search, and so on.
