This worksheet is the first in a series of two designed to increase students' familiarity with Edexcel's Large Data Set, required for the new linear A Level. It also provides practice of some of the sampling techniques in the new A Level specification. It can be completed as a homework task as it requires no specialist software beyond a spreadsheet. Answers are provided. The second worksheet is also available from my TES shop and is of the same format but covers different statistical skills. You can buy both sheets as a bundle for a discount.

This is a complete set of notes and examples for the pure maths content of year 1 of the new linear mathematics A Level. The Word document version can be handed out to students. The solutions to the examples are left blank for them to fill in as the lesson progresses. This also provides the opportunity for class discussion. PDF copies are provided with complete solutions to the examples. These could be uploaded to your school's VLE for students to be directed to if they have missed a lesson.
