KS2 English Teaching Resources: Spellings Dictation Year 3 and Year 4
This resource allows teachers to assess spelling in the context of sentences using words taken from the statutory spellings for Year 3 and 4. The resource is made up of a seven-page dictation pack which includes a list of the Year 3 and Year 4 statutory spellings, 87 dictation sentences all of which contain the statutory spellings and a 101 slide PowerPoint presentation to introduce the task and to assess pupils’ understanding.
This is a comprehensive unit of work with enough dictation spellings to cover the whole academic year. Exercises are split into Autumn Term, Spring Term and Summer Term as can be seen in the PowerPoint preview.
