The SoW:
An awesome scheme of work on global biomes and ecosystems that investigates climates, landscapes and the animals and people that are adapted to them! The scheme of work is for KS3 geography and includes introductory lessons on foodwebs, habitats, foodchains and more. The rest of the Scheme of work focuses on global biomes like hotdeserts , rainforests, coral reefs and the animals that live there as well as how humans are changing these. This KS3 SoW about the UK’s Rivers and their processes is a very engaging scheme of work that investigates the physical characteristics of rivers, their processes and landforms as well as flooding and how we can manage this.
The SoW is very fun, engaging and includes all kinds of different skills and activities like map work, graph skills, ranking activities and each lesson has numerous extension and starter tasks.
Each lesson has clear objectives that are addressed by the tasks. All answers and instructions are included on slides so the SoW could be easily taught by a none specialist.
