More than 40 reading tasks with answers, 8 writing tasks with model answers. Resources suitable for KS3 classes. (I use them for my Y7 and Y8 classes).
There is a clear progression between reading activities as I have made sure to recycle on a regular basis main grammar concepts seen in previous lessons.
Each reading task is composed of : a match up activity / vocabulary search / grammar activity (focusing on 1, 2 or 3 grammar concepts) / exam style questions / a translation into FR or EN (plenary) to check pupils’ understanding of the grammar concepts introduced in the activities). Answers are always provided
For each unit, there is a “revision” worksheet to go back to grammar concepts seen in the unit (True/false activities). There is also a more challenging reading tasks available to them with exam style questions.
For each unit, there’s a also a “writing” worksheet. Pupils’ understanding of grammar concepts seen in the unit is tested through translation activities. I recommend marking them in class before allowing pupils to start their writing. There is a model answer provided for each writing task. I usually use it for my weaker students.
There’s also a small bank of vocabulary available to stretch most able students (usually with some GCSE A*/Grade 8-9 structures).
Should you have any questions or should you spot anything wrong, do not hesitate to contact me on my Facebook Page (Parlezvousfrançais, link available in my profile)
I hope this helps.
