I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

This is a neat little flashcard set when students need to develop phonemic awareness. 11 sheets / pairs of cards. Place all the cards picture side up, students are to create two piles, one with the ‘dge’ sounds and the other with the ‘g’ sound. 5 posters of different scenes. A neat way for students to practice finding and listing nouns as seen in the poster. This is an ideal group activity (group competitions can be created adding some excitement to the activity) where students have to find the nouns in each picture. You can introduce a time challenge or first group to find 15 nouns etc. For the 3 posters where activities are being shown , the same can be done for verbs. Great for developing parts of speech understanding.
