I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

A revision activity for Homer’s Odyssey. This can be used for classroom display, group or individual activity. Students have to arrange the map to reflect Odysseus’ journey. Number the places according to when they were visited (some may have two numbers) A Dear Diary template has been included for the written task where Odysseus describes the place, what happens, who was involved and how did he feel about the experience. This activity works well as a group task where each group is given 2 - 3 places to describe. Great for revision. PDF file.

Students read the postcard messages and based on the clues, match the written side of the postcard to the picture postcards. 7 written postcards, 7 picture postcards. 3 additional templates. I never thought I would be using Godzilla and King Kong to develop Maths skills, yet here we are : ) 20 flashcards, each students gets a card. At the top they have the answer to the previous sum. They have to ask their math question, the others students have to work out based on the number of Baby Godzillas and Baby Kongs, if they have the correct answer at the top of their card. Godzilla is always the first number. Kong the second. It’s a basic card loop game involving numbers 1-12.
