I am an experienced English teacher of both Literature and Language, and also Classical Studies at High School level. You will find text-based resources for novels, poetry, plays and film study in my shop for Years 7 - 13. The resources are generic to the text so are suitable for any curriculum. I am also a passionate believer in effective literacy learning hence the emphasis on phonics resources in my shop.

A fun resource for students when developing awareness of basic tense types. 10 templates, 9 of which have a verb written at the bottom of the rainbow. Students can write a past tense sentence relating to the verb in the orange band, a present tense sentence in the green band and a future tense in the purple band. One template is free for students to use a verb of their choice. A popular activity with students and ideal for classroom displays

10 pages of templates. Verbs include: drive, say, fly, wear, ride, swim, eat, but, see and write. This resource is a little more challenging from my rainbow template version due to the past tense word change. The gaps next to the tense words can be used to write the word (according to the tense) or to write a whole sentence. I have used it for both. Tenses can also be colour coordinated.
